Developing Innovative Marketing Strategies

NATIVE OUTREACH

It's rather odd that the sister and brother team of Debbie and Orville Desjarlais didn't put their talents together until 2018. Both were born in the 1960s, but it wasn't until 50 years later that they combined her skills as a designer and his as a journalist to create and start something new, Keya Advertising.

They both grew up off and on the reservation. They are enrolled members of the  Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and Assiniboine decedents from both Fort Peck and Fort Belknap tribes. They are passionate about helping their Native people with outreach.

We specialize in planning and executing memorable advertising campaigns. Our strategies use a mix of print, digital media, and video to help influence our Indigenous communities. Past campaigns have included Zero Suicide in Montana, Native anti-vaping, Good Health and Wellness in Indian Country, and more.

We’re reaching the unreachable—our Native communities. We’ve figured out how to advertise to our Native people. Each tribe is different and unique, requiring various marketing techniques we’ve perfected. There is no “one size fits all.” We customize each advertising strategy for our clients.

TESTIMONIALS

Keya’s advertising campaigns surpassed all our expectations. The marketing analytics they provided fully justified all our grant spending. Their Indigenous perspectives allow them to specifically target Native people. They’re my go-to ad agency.
